Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Monitoring data was collected to assess the ambient and baseline Mo concentrations in the various environmental compartments.

For each environmental compartment, a realistic-worst-case Predicted Environmental Concentration (PEC) was derived using the median 90P across different countries.

Furthemore, the baseline concentrations were also reported for several environmental compartments.

Realistic-worst-case PECs for the various environmental compartments:

PEC freshwater = 2,3 ug/L dissolved

PEC freshwater sediment = 3,77 mg/kg dry weight

PEC soil = 0,86 and 1,04 mg/kg dry weight for agricultural and grazing lands, respectively

PEC marine water = 13,6 ug/L dissolved

PEC estuarine = 10,0 ug/L dissolved

PEC marine sediment = 14,1 mg/kg dry weight

Baseline concentrations for freshwater, sediment and soils based on the median 90P of the FOREGS data (EU countries)

baseline concentration for freshwater = 0,28 ug/L

baseline concentration for freshwater sediment = 0,58 mg/kg dry weight

baseline concentration for top soil = 0,59 mg/kg dry weight
