In the screening test, the substance melts at around 310 °C and decomposes before ignition.

The hot storage test at 200°C only shows a heating of 3 °C (maximum temperature: 203.3 °C; time to maximum temperature: 2.5 h).

The DTA shows a decomposition reaction from the melting substance starting at 310 °C, reaction energy of the decomposition: -580 kJ/kg (see section 4.2)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The substance melts at around 310 °C and decomposes before ignition. Therefore, the substance has not to be classified as self-heating according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.

In a screening test according to Grewer, the test substance melts at around 310 °C and decomposes before ignition. These findings were confirmed in a hot storage test and in a DTA.
