The flue dust consists of uncalcined raw materials along with partially calcined materials. Some Portland cement clinker is usually included. The major constituents of kiln dust are calcium carbonate, clays, shales, quartz and sulfate salts. Bioaccumulation is not relevant for the substance Flue dust.
Some Flue dust constituents are inorganic minerals and salts which naturally occur in water (solved) and sediment. All other constituents are inorganics which react with water and form highly insoluble hydration products. Organisms are not able to intake and accumulate these constituents and reaction products.
