Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Due to the low solubility of the test substance no end-point could be attained.

EbC50 > 0.76 mg / l

ErC50 > 0.76 mg / l

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a 72 hour acute toxicity (growth inhibition) test under static conditions, no abnormalities were found in any of the test or control cultures after 72 hours.

1.0 mg/1 was the highest test concentration that could be prepared due to the limited solubility of the test substance in water and having regard to the amount of auxiliary solvent permitted in the test. However, because of the unstable nature of the test substance in water under light conditions, the calculated mean measured value of 0.76 mg/1 over the study period has been quoted.

The toxicity study is classified as acceptable and fully satisfies the guideline requirement for algae. The data from this study clearly shows the test substance not to be acutely toxic at levels up to and exceeding the limit of solubility.
