First-aid measures

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, blow nose and rinse mouth with water.  Consult a physician if required.

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with soap and water. Consult medical attention if required.

Eye Contact: Rinse with plenty of water and consult a specialist if required.

Oral: Clean mouth with water and drink plenty of water afterward.  Obtain medical attention if required.

Fire-fighting measures

Substance itself is not flammable.  Extinguishing media for fires involving the substance: 1) Fires in heaps-foam, chemical powders, carbon dioxide, diffused water jet or other established suitable methods; 2) Contained fires in closable vessels-render vessel inert, store it away from flammable material and let cool under constant supervision. Do not use compacted water stream or halons. Use a self-contained breathing apparatus and a protective suit. Dispose of contaminated material in accordance with regulations.

Accidental release measures

Wear personal protective equipment. Shut off sources of ignition and ventilate the area. Clean-up using methods which avoid dust formation, such as vacuuming (with filter) or wet clean-up. Place contaminated materials in appropriate sealable containers and dispose of wastes according to regulations. Avoid spillage into environment.

Handling and storage

Ensure good ventilation and maintain good housekeeping procedures to prevent accumulation of dust and the generation of airborne dust particles. Wear protective closing when handling. Avoid inhalation and skin and eye contact. Store in acceptable tightly closed containers, in a well ventilated area. Store under dry and cool conditions, away from incompatible materials and direct sunlight. Ensure that established exposure limits are complied with.
