Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Henry's Law constant (TMA): 1.29E-5 Pa-m3/mole
Henry's Law constant (TMLA): 1.01E-7 Pa-m3/mole

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Henry's law constant (H) (in Pa m³/mol):
0
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The most significant value in terms of environmental assessment is relative to the acid form of the anhydride, because trimellitic anhydride hydrolyses almost instantaneously on contact with water to give trimellitic acid.

The HLC limit value of 1.01E-7 Pa m³/mol at 25 deg C indicates that trimellitic acid is essentially not volatile from surface water.
