Conclusion

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was 236 °C ± 3 °C (corrected temperature).

Conclusions:
An auto flammability value of 236 °C ± 3°C at 97.7 to 98.4 kPa was determined using a relevant test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Auto-ignition temperature: 236°C at 97.7 to 98.4 kPa (EU Method A.15)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
236 °C

Additional information

An auto-ignition temperature value of 236 ± 3°C at 97.7 to 98.4 kPa was determined using a relevant test method and in compliance with GLP.  The result is considered to be reliable and has been selected as the key study.

In a supporting study, an auto-ignition temperature value of 243°C at 961.4 to 969.5 hPa was determined using a relevant test method and in compliance with ISO 9001:2008.

In a secondary source to which reliability could not be assigned, an auto-ignition temperature value of 400°C was reported for the substance.
