Description of key information

Results of OECD 216 study on nitrogen transformation: 28d NOEC = 100 mg/kg dw and 28d-EC50 = 162 mg/kg dw

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 for soil microorganisms:
162 mg/kg soil dw
Long-term EC10 or NOEC for soil microorganisms:
100 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

The main study was performed using five concentrations of the test item: 100 / 180 / 320 / 560 / 1000 mg/kg dry weight. Sieved soil was exposed to the test item for 28 days. On day 0 and after 28 days exposition, the nitrate content of the soil of each treatment was determined. A blank control was tested.

The four highest concentrations showed lower nitrate content compared to the control at the end of the test.

The following results were determined for the test item sulfamic acid: 28d NOEC = 100 mg/kg dw and 28d-EC50 = 162 mg/kg dw
