Tert.-Butylperoxy- 2-ethylhexanoat is hydrolytically unstable at pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9.
The test item was found to be readilby biodegradable according to OECD criteria.
Bioaccumulation potential was estimated with an estimated log Kow of 4.79. The bioaccumulation factor (BCF) was calculated to be 202.4 L/kg using the EPA Epiwin (v.4.0) software.
As tert.-Butylperoxy-2-ethylhexanoat is not stable under the conditions of a Koc test and due to its low water solubility, the log Koc value of the test item was calculated using EUSES (v. 2.1). For tert.-Butylperoxy-2-ethylhexanoat the log Koc was estimated to be 3.5105, the respective Koc to be 3240 L/kg using Kow method (Sabljic and Güsten, 1995).
