Any other information on results incl. tables

In an initial test, the test material ignited very easily and quickly after 10 seconds and the flame burned for 4 minutes 12 seconds. The test substance burned with a yellow/orange flame and a small amount of black smoke was produced. Only a small amount of unburned test substance remained. In the second test, it took 6 minutes 35 seconds for the 200 mm train to burn. This meant that no further work was necessary and the test substance is not classified as highly flammable. The moisture content was recorded as a mean of 0.2 %.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: not highly flammable
Conclusions:
The test material ignited with a yellow/orange flame and a small amount of black smoke was produced in both the preliminary screening and main test. The test material burned for 395 seconds in the main test. Based on this finding the test material has been determined to be not highly flammable.
Executive summary:

The objective of this study is to determine the flammability (solids) of the test material in accordance with Method A10 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC. The study was assigned a reliability of 1 and followed acceptable OECD, EU or recognized standards and was in accordance with GLP.

The flammability (solids) of BMS 528233-01 was determined by measuring the burning rate of test material prepared as a pile of set dimensions.

The test material ignited with a yellow/orange flame and a small amount of black smoke was produced in both the preliminary screening and main test. The test material burned for 395 seconds in the main test. Based on this finding the test material has been determined to be not highly flammable.
