Details on test solutions:
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
- Method: the test solutions were prepared according to OECD guideline 23 by mixing 100.1 mg of test substance with 1 l test medium (M4). The mixture was placed in an ultrasonic bath for 5 minutes then stirred on a magnetic stir plate for about 3 days at 20 ± 2 °C to generate a
saturated test solution. Undissolved test substance was removed by filtration with a membrane filter (pore width 0.2 μm).
Test organisms (species):
Daphnia magna

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One guideline study on the toxicity of the substance to Daphnia magna is available. In a static test system set up according to OECD guideline 202 an EC50 > 100 mg/l was determined after 48 hours (BASF SE, 2008).
