Description of key information

Not skin sensitiser.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

No other signs of systemic toxicity then a slightly reduced activity 30 minutes after the 50% application. The test substance did not induce biologically relevant increases in the 3H-thymidine incorporation, the lymph node weights or ear weights. In some cases responses were statistically significant but this was not dose related or biologically significant. Thus it was concluded that the test substance did not exhibit a skin sensitizing potential in the Murine Local Lymph Node Assay.

Short description of key information:
The key value is based on a Murine Local Lymph Node Assay (OECD 429; BASF SE, 2011) performed under GLP. This key value is supported by a review article of Uter et al. (2007) concerning human data.

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Additional information:

No data available.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The classification of the test substance related to skin sensitisation is conclusive: no classification, since test substance proved not to be sensitising.
