Additional information

The substance appears to be persistent in both aquatic and terrestrial environments as no significant biodegradation was measured in neither a biodegradation test with activated sewage sludge nor in a 120-day OECD 307 biodegradation simulation test using three different type of soils. Further testing showed that the substance adsorbs strongly to sediment and soil. When released in the environment, almost 100% will adsorb to sediment (or soil), whereas environmental concentrations in water or air will be insignificant.
