Description of key information

The substance was assessed in tests aimed at determining its sensitivity to shock or heating under confinement. The test was carried out under GLP  in accordance with EC Test A14.

Additional information

In terms of Mechanical Sensitivity (Shock), the Limiting Impact Energy was determined to be > 40 joules. In terms of Thermal Sensitivity, no explosions were observed using the 2mm orifice plates, i.e. Limiting Diameter < 2mm.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance did not give a positive result in tests used to determine its sensitivity to shock or heating under confinement, and is therefore not classified as an explosive in accordance with the criteria of EC Test A14.
