Description of key information

Log Koc is expected to be between 3.61 (MCI based) and 4.29 at 25 °C (log Kow based) (estimation with KOCWIN v2.00)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
4.07

Additional information

No studies investigating the adsorption/desorption characteristics of 2-ethylhexyl benzoate are available. Using SRC KOCWIN v2.00, log Koc values of 4.29 (log Kow method) and 3.62 (MCI method) were calculated (Blum, 2012). The log of the average of the Koc values as derived in these two QSAR models has been selected as starting point for risk assessment.
