Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The result given is related to 2 main representative selection components:

9-Octadecenoic acid: pKa= 4.7 at 25°C

2-[(2-aminoethyl)amino]ethanol):

pKa1= 6.7 and pKa2= 10 at 25°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance is a multi-constituent (UVCB). Each component of a complex reaction mixture will theoretically have its own dissociation constant, therefore the test is irrelevant as a range of values will be obtained.

The macroscopic pKa values on the representative selection components of test item have been generated by calculation using recommended software program SPARC,v.4.6.
