Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No repeated dose toxicity data are available for the PA6T salt [1,4-benzenedioic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine (1:1)]. Repeated dose effects observed with component chemicals have involved either non-specific body weight changes or specific organ pathology (e.g., kidney or bladder), but occurring at doses much greater than the reporting threshold (i.e., 100 mg/kg/day for oral exposure). In addition, the PA66 salt [adipic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine (1:1); CAS# 3323-53-3; EC# 222-037-3] is not classified for repeated exposure effects. Collectively, these date indicate that PA6T salt should not be classified for repeated exposure effects.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on data from component chemicals and similar salts, no effects at the threshold or lower are expected with the test substance. Therefore the test substance is not classified for repeated dose toxicity according to EU Directive 67/548/EEC and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
