Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

PNECs have been derived for freshwater, marine water, intermittent releases and the STP. The PNECs were calculated using endpoints obtained using freshwater aquatic species and STP microorganisms. PNECS for freshwater and marine sediment, and for soil were calculated from the PNEC freshwater using the equilibrium partitioning method (EPM). No PNECS were calculated for air, or secondary poisoning as they are deemed to be unnecessary. The PNECs are as follows:

PNEC freshwater = 0.0019 mg/L

PNEC marine water = 0.00019 mg/L

PNEC intermittent = 0.011 mg/L

PNEC STP = 100 mg/L

PNEC sediment (freshwater) = 1.6 mg/kg dw

PNEC sediment (marine) = 0.16 mg/kg dw

PNEC soil = 0.317 mg/kg dw

Conclusion on classification

As there are long-term results available on the aquatic toxicity of the substance to three trophic levels, and the substance is readily biodegradable, the classification criteria in ECHA Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria (v5.0, 2017), Table 4.1.0(b)(ii) were used. As the lowest EC10 was 0.019 mg/L, the substance is classified as Aquatic Chronic Category 2.
