Description of key information

The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

A study was conducted to assess the flammability of the test material in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.10 under GLP conditions.

The test material was formed into a ‘rope’ approximately 250 mm long with a cross section of 1 cm² on a non-combustible, non-porous board. An air-rich Bunsen burner flame was applied to one end of the ‘rope’ for two minutes; the substance failed to ignite, thus obviating the need for further testing and determining that, under the conditions of this study, the test material was considered not to be highly flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with the criteria for classification as defined in Annex I, Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, the substance does not require classification with respect to flammability.

In accordance with the criteria for classification as defined in Annex VI, Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD), the substance does not require classification with respect to flammability.
