REFERENCE SUBSTANCES
- Identity: A stock solution of phenol in methanol at a concentration of 1.23 g/l was used. The phenol reference substance solution was prepared by adding 50 µl of the stock solution to a 5 ml volumetric flask. The flask was filled up to the mark with mobile phase.
TEST SOLUTIONS:
A 884 mg/l stock solution of the test substance was prepared in methanol. In order to dissolve the test substance completely the stock solution was ultrasonicated for 10 minutes.
The test solution was prepared by adding 50 µl of the stock solution to a 5 ml volumetric flask. The flask was filled up to the mark with mobile phase. The final concentration of the test substance solution was 8.84 mg/l.
REPETITIONS
- Number of determinations: The reference substance and test substance solutions were injected in duplicate. Blank solutions were analysed by single injection. - Analytical monitoring:
- no
- Details on matrix:
- The dual composition of a cyanopropyl stationary phase, having polar and non-polar sites allows for interaction of polar and non-polar groups of a molecule in a similar way as is the case for organic matter in soil or sewage sludge matrices. This enables the relationship between the retention time on the column and the K,0 on organic matter to be established.
