According to ECHA Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria (v5.0, July 2017, §2.11.4.2.), the phenomenon of self-heating generally applies only to solids. The surface of liquids is not large enough for reaction with air and the test method (UN N4) is not applicable to liquids. Therefore liquids, unless adsorbed, are not classified as self-heating.

The observations were the same for each of the three replicates of step 4.
No ignition was observed in the 6 repetitions of each experiment.

As the substance is a liquid, the relevant test for flammable properties is the Flash Point measurement.
A reliable experimental study is presented under point 4.11.
Fully reliable experimental studies, conducted according to recognized EC methods and under GLP, are available also for pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water. Therefore, they are considered as key studies.
As a liquid, no self-heating is anticipated, study was deemed unnecessary.
Justification for classification or non-classification
According to Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 (CLP) criteria, the measured flash point is above the threshold value of 60°C, therefore the substance is NOT considered as a flammable liquid.
According to UN Globally Harmonised System (GHS) criteria, the measured flash point is above the threshold value of 93°C, therefore the substance is NOT considered as a flammable liquid.
According to CLP and GHS criteria, since no spontaneous ignition was observed in contact with air or water, the substance is NOT considered as a pyrophoric liquid, or a substance which can emit flammable gas.
