Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A test was performed to evaluate the effect of the test item DG HF 2000 on Daphnia magna under static conditions, at the loading rate of 100.0 mg/l. The substance is a UVCB substance, thus the Water Accommodated Fraction (WAF) method was followed for preparation of the test solution. Since pH value of the test solution was lower than the recommended range by OECD guideline (6.00 - 9.00), a second solution of 100.0 mg/l was prepared identical to the first one, except for the pH, which was adjusted with NaOH to achieve an acceptable value according to OECD Guideline 202 (corrected pH value equal to 7.23). The daphnids were observed for immobility after 24 and 48 hours of exposure.

In the solution without pH adjustment (pH 5.80 - 6.54), after 24 and 48 hours of exposure, 80 % of daphnids were found to be immobilized on the bottom of the beakers with little white particles on the body (optical microscope observation), while no disease signs were observed in daphnids exposed to the solution with pH adjusted (pH 7.23 - 7.46).
