Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Seek medical attention
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides
together with some hydrogen chloride gas and soot. Wear a
self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing
when fighting fires. Suitable extinguishing agents are
water, foam, powder and carbon dioxide.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Contain spillage and prevent substance from entering water
systems. Collect spilt material, taking care to avoid dust
formation (eg use a wax impregnated brush), into suitable
containers. Dispose of waste by incineration at an approved
facility. Clean area with water and a cleaning agent.
Handling and storage
Handling: Provide effective removal of dust using extraction systems.
Take precautions against static discharge. Wear safety
goggles and rubber gloves. Use a dust mask in cases of dust
exposure (eg DIN 3181-P-2)
Storage: Protect against moisture, do not store at temperatures
exceeding 40 deg C

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery by recrystallisation is possible
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable (FRG c.a. summary)
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. An approved facility using flue gas
scrubbing to remove nitrogen oxides and hydrogen chloride
gas shpuld be used.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended, the substance is toxic to aquatic
organisms and is not readily biodegradable.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from formulations is not possible at the present
time.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Formulations should be disposed of by incineration in a
facility using flue gas treatment to remove nitrogen oxides
and hydrogen chloride gas.
