The test item was formed into a particle train. A hot flame from a gas burner with a diameter of about 6 mm is used to ignite the pile at one end.Inthe preliminary screening test, the substance doesn’t ignite by a hot flame from a gas burner within 2 minutes. It only melts. Therefore the main test may be omitted.
According to the definition in the Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 that is pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 the test item 5424/18has not to be considered as flammable.
