Additional information

Erucamide has been shown to be absorbed from the diet (Prier, 1960). In a separate study, erucamide was shown to be metabolized to erucic acid and ammonia by hepatic amidases (Morgareidge, 1960). These results support the lack of toxicity observed in the repeated dose toxicity studies.
