Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

BCF 95 - 321 L/kg (experimental data)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the potential of metylcyclohexane (CAS No. 108-87-2) to accumulate in fish is available. In this study Cyprinus carpio was exposed to test substance concentrations of 10 and 100 µg/L, which resulted in BCF values of 95-321 L/kg and 134-237 L/kg, respectively (METI, 1986). These values are substantially lower than the threshold value of 2000 L/kg for bioaccumulating substances, according to the “Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, R.11” (ECHA, 2014).
