A bioconcentration factor (BCF) in aquatic environment cannot be measured due to hydrolysis. The log Kow values for dimethyl phosphonate (-1.13), monomethyl phosphonate (-1.19) and methanol (-0.77) indicate that both the parent compound as well as the hydrolysis products have a very low bioaccumulation potential.
