Description of key information

Short-term toxicity of Diisodecyl azelate to daphnia is not expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Column 2 of Annex VII, section 9.1.1 a long-term aquatic toxicity study shall be considered if the substance is poorly water soluble. Since the substance has an experimentally determined water solubility below 0.05 mg/L a study investigating chronic effects on Daphnia magna was conducted. Thus, additional short-term testing on aquatic invertebrates is not required.
