Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Environmental fate and pathways:

For evaluating the biodegradation of the test substance, one valid study performed according to the OECD Guideline was available to assess the biodegradation in water.

This key study was performed according to the OECD Guideline 301D with GLP statement. The biodegradation of the test substance was found to be 29 % after 28 days and 41% after 60 days.
The substance is not readily biodegradable but can be considered as inherently primary (partially) biodegradable.

The partition coefficients (LogKow) of the test item is estimated to be in the range between 2.29 and 6.99. at 25°C. The log Kow of the substance is potentially as greater than 4 as worst-case.

Aquatic toxicity:

Two experimental studies are available to assess the aquatic toxicity of the registered substance.

To assess the short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates, one experimental study is available on the registered substance.

The experimental study (Laboratoires des Pyrénées et des Landes, 2022) was assessed as the key study and was performed on the registered substance according to OECD Guideline 202 with GLP statement. The test substance was exposed to Daphnia magna at five loading rates and a control, under semi-static conditions for 48 hours using Water Accommodated Fractions. According to the results of this study, the 48h-EL50 was determined at 17.1 mg/L based on nominal loading values.

To assess the toxicity of the registered substance to aquatic algae, one experimental study is available on the registered substance.

The experimental study (Laboratoires des Pyrénées et des Landes, 2022) was assessed as the key study and was performed on the registered substance according to OECD Guideline 201 with GLP statement. The test substance was exposed to Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata at five loading rates and a control for 72 hours under closed static test using Water Accommodated Fractions. According to the results of this study, the 72h-ELr50 was determined at > 100 mg/L based on nominal loading rates and the 72h-ELr20 was determined at 99.1 mg/L based on nominal loading rate.

Conclusion on classification

No harmonised classification is available on the registered substance.

Data available:

- E(L)C50 value between 10.0 mg/L and 100 mg/L (17.15 mg/L for algae);

-Not readily biodegradable

- Log kow value greater than 4.0: Based on QSAR predictions on each constituents of the substance, most of constituents have a log Kow greater than 4. The log Kow of the substance is considered as greater than 4 as worst-case.

Classification according to the Annex VI of the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP):

The registered substance is classified as Aquatic Chronic 3 for the environment.
