Description of key information
The EC50 at 48 hours towards daphnia magna was determined being 0.214 mg/L whereas the EC0 was 0.1436 mg/L and the EC100 was 0.4565 mg/L.

The acute toxicity towards daphnia magna was investigated in an OECD 202 study under GLP compliane. Nominal concentrations of 0, 1, 10 and 100 mg/L were assessed in a pre-study and in the main study concentrations of 0, 10 (0.0822), 17 (0.1436), 31 (0.2681), 56 (0.4564) and 100 (0.7971) mg/L (measured concentrations in brackets) were investigated, derived by dilution of a saturated stock solution of 100 mg in 1000 ml of water. The test solutions were stable during the exposure periods and ths the results are reported as measured initial values. 20 daphnids per concentration were used.
As a result of the study, the EC50 at 48 hours was determined being 0.214 mg/L whereas the EC0 was 0.1436 mg/L and the EC100 was 0.4565 mg/L.
Thus, the substance is considered being very toxic to daphnia magna in this test.
