Conclusion on classification

Based on acute toxicity data for fish, invertebrates, and aquatic plants, the substance does not need to be classified for acute toxicity according the EU Directive 67/548/EEC and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. Based on the existing acute data and the fact that the test substance is not readily biodegradable, the substance should be classified as Chronic Env. Tox. Category 3 (H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects) according to EU Classification, Labeling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 and R52/53 (Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment) according to EU Directive 67/548/EEC.
