The assessment is based on the data currently available. New studies, based on the category review and the final decisions issued for some of the category substances, which are also relevant for this assessment, are currently being conducted. The hazard assessment with respect to aquatic toxicity will be updated once all ongoing studies have been finalised.

Classification justification according to CLP
Alcohols, C8-10, ethoxylated, sulfates, ammonium salts is rapidly degradable and has a low potential for bioaccumulation. The acute aquatic toxicity L(E)C50 are >1 mg/L for fish, invertebrates and algae. Valid chronic toxicity data are available for aquatic invertebrates and algae – the lowest NOEC/EC10 is 5.3 mg a.i. /L was determined for aquatic invertebrates. Based on the data listed above Alcohols, C8-10, ethoxylated, sulfates, ammonium salts does not need to be classified and labelled for environmental hazard according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 (CLP) and further amendments (ATPs).
