Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2012
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: GLP guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
column elution method
Water solubility:
< 0 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
6.2 - 6.8
Remarks on result:
other: Mean value of two columns

Nineteen fractions were collected from column 1 and ten fractions from column 2. Ten data points including the five fractions with constant concentrations, were used for the determination of the water solubility. For each fraction 10 mL were collected. The quantification was done by external standardization. Using the results of the calibration chromatograms a calibration curve was calculated by linear regression.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): insoluble (< 0.1 mg/L) not detectable < 0.00002 g/l
The water solubility was not detectable with a value lower than 0.00002 g/l at 20 °C.
Executive summary:

The determination of the water solubility by the column elution method was based on the OECD guideline for testing of chemicals No: 105 “Water solubility“ (adopted 27thJuly 1995). The water solubility of the test item at 20 °C was not detectable < 0.00002 g/l.

Description of key information

The water solubility of the test item was not detectable with a value lower than 0.00002 g/l at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

- "should read: < 0.00002 g/L"

- Mean value of both columns: not detectable
