First-aid measures

As a general rule, in case of doubt or if symptoms persist, always call a doctor.

NEVER induce swallowing in an unconscious person.

In the event of exposure by inhalation:

If the person is unconscious, place in the recovery position and call an ambulance.

In the event of splashes or contact with eyes:

Wash thoroughly with soft, clean water for 15 minutes holding the eyelids open.

If there is any redness, pain or visual impairment, consult an ophthalmologist.

In the event of splashes or contact with skin:

Remove contaminated clothing and wash the skin thoroughly with soap and water or a recognised cleaner.

In the event of swallowing:

Call a doctor immediately and show him the label.

Fire-fighting measures

Although the material is not flammable it may assist a fire. Keep away from other combustible materials. Keep away unprotected personnel.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:

Consult the safety measures listed under section 7 and 8 of MSDS specifically:

Technical measures:

Ensure adequate ventilation, if possible with extractor fans at work posts and appropriate general extraction.

Check the atmosphere periodically.

If this ventilation is insufficient to maintain the concentration of vapors below the exposure limits, wear breathing apparatus

Respiratory protection:

If the technique and the technology implemented are liable to generate dusts or aerosols, the facility must be adequately ventilated; if possible by

aspiration at the workstations and by appropriate overall extraction.

Check the atmosphere periodically.

If this ventilation is insufficient to maintain the concentration of vapors below the exposure limits, wear breathing apparatus

Hand protection:

Wear gloves.

Eye and face protection:

Wear safety goggles with side protections.

Skin protection:

For further information, see section 11 of S.D.S. - Toxicological information.

Wear work clothes made of acid-resistant fabric that can be washed as often as necessary.

Good personal hygiene is particularly recommended.

Environmental exposure controls:

Do not dispose of natural water or soil in the sewers.

Collect the quantities of products spilled on the ground.

If a large quantity has been spilt, evacuate all personnel and only allow intervention by trained operators equipped with safety apparatus.

Use drums to dispose of waste recovered in accordance with applicable regulations (see heading 13).

If the product contaminates waterways, rivers or drains, alert the relevant authorities in accordance with statutory procedures

Methods for cleaning up:

Clean with water preferably.
