Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation:
Remove the victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
Consult a physician.
Skin contact:
Take off contaminated clothing and shes immediately.
Wash immediately and thoroughly for a prolonged period (at least 15 min).
Call a physician if necessary.
Eye contact:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
If eye irritation persists, consult a physician.
Ingestion:
Do not induce vomiting.
Do not give anything to drink.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: foam, carbon dioxide, powder.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: high volume water jet.
Specific hazard during firefighting:
On combustion forms harmful or toxic vapours.
Special protective equipment for firefighters:self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 133), protective suits.
Specific firefighting method : stay upwind, evacuate personal to safe areas, cool containers with water spray.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
avoid contact with the skin and the eyes, do not smoke, do not breathe vapour.
Environmental precautions : prevent product from entering sewage system.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:
Recovery: pump up the product into a spare container suitably labelled.
Neutralization: soak up with inert absorbent material.
Decontamination/cleaning: decontaminate and wash the floor with water and detergent. recover the cleaning water for subsequent disposal.
Handling and storage
Precaution for safe handling:
Technical measures: use only in well-ventilated areas.
Advice on safe handling and usage: avoid contact with skin, eyes or mouth. No smoking. Provide adequate ventilation.
Hygiene measues: ensure eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location. Use clean, well- maintained personel personal protection equipment. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of the workday. When using, do not drink, eat or smoke.
Technical measures for storage: take all necessary measures to avoid accidental discharge of products into drains and waterways due to the rupture of containers or transfer systems.
Recommended storage conditions: keep in cool, well-ventilated place, keep container tightly closed, keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and source of ignition.
Incompatible products: strong oxidiszing agents, alkali and caustic products.
Packaging conditions: metal drum with a polyethylene flexible container.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Use in closed system, with effective exhaust ventilation.
Use a respirator with an approved filter if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary.
Where there is a risk of contact with hands, use appropriate gloves. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it. Glove material : Neoprene or rubber.
Protective equipment must be selected in accordance with CEN standards and in cooperation with the supplier of the protective equipment. Selection of appropriate personal protective equipment should be based on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the protective equipment relative to the task to be performed, condition present, duration of use, and the potential hazards and/or risks that may occur during use.
Gloves must be inspected prior t use, and replaced if there is any indication of degradation or chemical breakthrough.
Skin and body protection: choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the substance at the workplace. Remove and wash contaminated clothing.
Hygiene measures: ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.Use clean, well-maintained personal protection equipment. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of the workday. When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: stable under recommended storage conditions.
Conditions to avoid: no dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use. May decompose on contact with hot surfaces and flames.
Materials to avoid:reacts violently with alkalis in an alcoholic medium.
Decomposition products: on combustion or on thermal decomposition (pyrolisis) releases toxic gases (hydrogen fluoride, nirogen oxides NOx).
Disposal considerations
Product disposal:
Avoid release to the environment.
The substance must be incinerated in suitable incineration plant holding a permit delivered by the competent authorities.
Advice on cleaning and disposal of packaging:
Allow it to drain thoroughly, clean using steam, recover the cleaning water and dispose in a specialist site.
Must be incinerated in suitable incineration plant holding a permit delivered by the competent authorities.
Dispose in accordance with local regulations.
