- The zebra fish (Brachydanio rerio) test was performed with SAS (Ultrasil VN3, precipitated silica) in suspension, due to the insolubility of the SAS. No mortality was observed for the fish after 96 hours of exposure at 1,000 mg/l and 10,000 mg/l. The test media remained turbid throughout the test, indicating that the limit of solubility of the product was exceeded. The actual concentrations were not determined.
