Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- yes
- Interpretation of results:
- other: not readily biodegradable
- Conclusions:
- The test item (N-Morpholinomethyl)triethoxysilane is considered not to be readily biodegradable. From results of the toxicity control it can be assumed that the test item is not inhibitory on the activated sludge micro organisms. The positive control with sodium benzoate worked as expected.
- Executive summary:
(N-Morpholinomethyl)triethoxysilane was investigated for its ready biodegradability in a manometric respiratiory test over a period of 28 days (OECD Guideline 301 F). The biodegradation was followed by the oxygen uptake of the micro-organisms during exposure. The test item
(N-Morpholinomethyl)triethoxysilane
is considered not to be readily biodegradable. From results of the toxicity control it can be assumed that the test item is not inhibitory on the activated sludge micro organisms. The positive control with sodium benzoate worked as expected.
