The reported values for Auto-ignition temperature for liquid or low-melting Tar acids, xylenol fraction range from 470 °C to >515 °C at 1013 mBar. Testing for solid Tar acids, xylenol fraction does not need to be conducted because the substance has a melting point <= 160 °C and so self-heating is excluded.
