Description of key information

The short-term toxicity test of TCPP to invertebrates (Daphnia magna) was assessed in a static bioassay. After 48 hours of exposure an EC50 of 131 mg/L is obtained.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50/LC50 for freshwater invertebrates:
131 mg/L

Additional information

The study was not performed according to guideline but meets generally accepted scientific principles.

An analytical monitoring was performed, and the result relate to measured concentrations as the recovery rate was in the range between 42% and 97%. The 48 hour computer estimated EC50 were calculated using the binomial probability test and nominal dose level was 209 mg/L. The 48 hour computer estimated EC50 were calculated using the binomial probability test and actual test concentration was 131 mg/L.
