Description of key information

The log Koc of 2.6 (measured at 25 °C) revealed triallyl cyanurate to have a limited sorption potential. Based on the classification of Briggs (Proc. 7th British Insecticide and Fungicide Conference, Nottingham, UK, 83 86, 1973) and Verdam et al. (RIVM Report No. 728473001, NL, 1988) triallyl cyanurate can be classified as a moderately strong adsorbed substance, i.e., it is of low mobility in soils.

Additional information

A test conducted according to OECD guideline 121 (2001) and in compliance with GLP resulted in a Koc of 398 (log Koc = 2.6). The calculation using the QSAR tool EPI Suite TM (US-EPA, 2000 -2008) and considering the measured log Pow of 2.8 as input parameter yielded a Koc in the same order of magnitude (Koc = 289.6). A further QSAR calculation (with the same program, but without Log Pow input) is available resulting in a Koc of 1828. As the Koc of 398 was determined in an OECD guideline study, this value is considered as relevant for the hazard and exposure assessment.
