Additional information

An acute toxicity study was performed on Solketal (test item). Fathead Minnow (Pimephales promelas) were exposed to Solketal at nominal concentrations of 0 (control) - 5.31 - 10.6 - 15.9 - 21.2 and 26.6 g/L (measured concentrations :0 (control <0.2 g/L) - 5.55 - 10.5 - 14.1 - 21.6 and 26.4 g/L) under static conditions.

The 96 -h LC50 was 16.7 g/L. No mortality was observed in control and 100% in treatment group exposed to 21.6 g/L of the substance (measured concentration). Based on the results of this study, Solketal would not be considered as dangerous to fish in accordance with the classification system of the EU (Directive 67/548/EC) and CLP criteria.

This toxicity study is classified as acceptable.
