Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
04/2002
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.2 (Boiling Temperature)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry

Boiling pt.:
288 °C
Atm. press.:
101.42 kPa
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
288 °C

The mean temperature of boiling with decomposition is reported. Similar themographic profiles were obtained using air and nitrogen atmospheres. This indicates that the observed decomposition in both determinations is probably thermal and not oxidative.

Conclusions:
The boiling point of TCPP is 288°C ( at 1014.2 hPa) with decomposition.
Executive summary:

The boiling point of TCPP was measured according to the EU-method A.2 by differential scanning calorimetry to be 288°C with decomposition at 1014.2 hPa, Cuthbert & Mullee, 2002.

Description of key information
