Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Not applicable
Emergency measure - Eyes: Hold the eyelids open and flush with copious amounts of
water immediately. Continue for 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and soap.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Use dry powder or carbondioxide
Product arising from burning: CO2, CO, NOx
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Inhalation prevention
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Mix with sand or similar inert absorbant material, sweep up
and keep in a tightly closed container for disposal.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should always be handled in a fume cupboard.
Care should be taken to prevent any chemical from coming
into contact with skin and eyes by using personal protective
equipment i.e, splash goggles and gloves. Dust formation
should be avoided.
Storage: Keep in a cool dry place away from sources of heat
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 1-10 kg chemical container

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Reactive with oxidizing agents
Chemical reaction with water: None known
Dust explosion: Powdered material may form explosive dust air mixtures
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: None
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Oxidation
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Stack gases should be scrubbed because noxious fumes e.g.
carbon and nitrogen oxides and chlorine containing compounds
could be formed.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
