Description of key information

ErC50 (72h) > 100 mg/L and NOErC (72h) = 10 mg/L for Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (OECD 201)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
100 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
10 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity of triallyl isocyanurate to aquatic algae was investigated in one study with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata according to OECD guideline 201 and under GLP-conditions (2011-0110-DGO). 95 % of nominal test substance concentrations were detected in the test media throughout the exposure period. Based on growth rate, the ErC50 (72 h) was determined to be > 100 mg/L and the NOEC (72 h) was calculated to be10 mg/L.
