Diarsenic trioxide is classified as Skin Corr 1B, according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (harmonised classification) based on data reviewed and discussed by the EU technical committee on classification and labelling. The corresponding hazard statement is H314: Causes severe skin burns and eye damage, since severe adverse effects on the eyes are also to be expected for substances that are known corrosives to skin.
