Reference
Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
From 2019-01-29 to 2019-03-29.
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Justification for type of information:
A guideline study with GLP.
Qualifier:
according to
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling Point)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. certificate)
Type of method:
method according to Siwoloboff
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Certificate of analysis of the test material used is attached to the study report.
Key result
Boiling pt.:
>= 216.87 - <= 236 °C
Atm. press.:
760 mm Hg
Conclusions:
The mean boiling range of the test item was 216.87 – 236.00 °C at 760 mm Hg
Executive summary:

The boiling range of the test item was determined by Siwoloboff method, according to OECD 103 guideline with GLP.

The test item began to boil at 216.87 °C (start of bubble formation) but continuous string of bubble and sudden rise in capillary was not observed may be due to nature/colour of the test item. Then at 236 °C bubble formation was stopped; hence boiling range of test item was reported. The test was performed at normal atmospheric pressure 760mm Hg.

Description of key information

Study report:

The mean boiling range of the test item was 216.87 – 236.00 °C at normal atmospheric pressure (760 mm Hg).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
216.87 °C
