Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A Daphnia immobilisation test (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2011) was conducted to assess the potential for Fe3P to affect aquatic invertebrates. The study was conducted according to EC guideline C2 and OECD guideline 202, and in compliance with GLP.

Following preliminary tests, a definitive test was conducted at a limit concentration of nominally 100 mg/L; the test solution was passed through a 0.2 µm filter to ensure that the test solution used in the test only contained test material in aqueous solution. Due to low aqueous solubility, the measured concentration in the test solution at the beginning and end of the exposure period was below the limit of quantification of the analysis method used, and was estimated at 0.03 mg/L.

No Daphnia were seen to have been immobilised during the 48 -hour exposure period, and so the EC50 could not be calculated, however it must be greater than 0.03 mg/L. The No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) was 0.03 mg/L.
