Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to column 2 of Reach Annex IX, these studies do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. A test towards soil organisms is not proposed by the registrant as the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to further investigate the effects on terrestrial organisms.
Annex IX states that in the absence of toxicity data for soil organisms, the equilibrium partitioning method may be applied to assess the hazard to soil organisms. No hazards are identified in aquatic organisms up to 100 mg/L, no PNEC is derived. As the risk characterisation yields a PEC/PNEC ratio smaller than 1, a test towards soil organisms is not necessary as the risk towards the terrestrial compartment is sufficiently described based on the already available data.
