Description of key information

The acute toxicity of Paraffin oils, sulfochlorinated, saponified to Alga 'Scenedesmus subspicatus' was tested according to OECD guideline 201 (Alga, Growth Inhibition Test), 1984. During 71 hours exposure an ErC50 of 246.89 mg/L was measured and a NOEC of 32.0 mg/L was calculated (Leuna AG, 1992).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
246.89 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
32 mg/L
