Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that long-term toxicity to aquatic organisms shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects on aquatic organisms.

The results of the risk assessment covering all relevant exposures throughout the life cycle of submission item demonstrate the absence of a risk to the environment. The environmental concentrations were predicted and compared to the respective PNECs. The resulting RCRs for all identified uses were clearly below 1. Consequently, a need to investigate further the chronic effects on aquatic organisms is not indicated. Therefore and for reasons of animal welfare, long-term toxicity testing with aquatic invertebrates is not provided.
